What does my child need in their backpack?
Every child should have:
- Their folder – emptied from the day before
- A lunch
- A spillproof water bottle
- A complete change of weather-appropriate clothing
- Optional: Pullups with tabs/Diapers if still potty-training
What time is Chapel? Can I visit and attend Chapel?
Yes! Parents are encouraged to join in the joy of worshipping, dancing, and listening to a Bible lesson every week on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-9:45 in the Sanctuary. There is open seating for parents on the far left and far right sections inside the Sanctuary.
How does drop-off and pick-up work?
The doors to the school will open at 8:55 and parents will walk their children to the classroom door for drop-off.
At pick-up, you will need to show your provided pick-up card at the school door to access the building, and then pick up your child at their classroom door.
If someone is coming for pick up that does not have a pick-up card, they will need to show a driver’s license and we will verify that they are on the approved pick up list for your child.
My child comes home singing so many songs! Where can I find them so we can play them at home or in the car?

It's my child's birthday! Can I send in something special for their class?
Yes! We love celebrating birthdays! Check with your child’s teacher to see what their individual classroom policy is for sharing treats. They may need to be pre-packaged or non-food items such as bubbles, stickers, mini play-doh, etc.
Don’t forget to confirm with their teacher what chapel date they will be receiving a birthday blessing, you won’t want to miss it!
What if I need to drop off my child late or pick up my child early?
For late drop off, you can park in the main church parking lot and walk to the school entrance. Ring the bell and we will meet you at the door to sign your child in!
For early pickup, you can call the school at (817)750-0442 and let us know what time you would like to pick up. We can help pack your child’s belongings and prepare them to be picked up. Park in the main parking lot and ring the bell at the school entrance with your pick-up sign and we will meet you to sign out your child.
What if I forgot my child's pick up sign?
For the safety and security of our students, we require every individual entering the building at pickup time to have their pickup sign with the student’s name on it.
In the event that you don’t have your sign or another authorized pickup person is there in your place, you will be asked to provide a driver’s license which will be matched to your student’s records to enter the building.
Can I buy a school t-shirt for my child?
Yes! We have a Light of the World School t-shirt available for purchase in the school office for $15. We can accept exact change, personal check, or charge it to your Smartcare account. Our school shirts are available in children sizes 2T-3T and XS(4-6).
